Graham Norton, 2014: What I was going to say was, whenever I meet you, you’re very friendly and nice, but at the same time, there is a kind of IINTIMIDATING thing about you…
Naomi Campbell: But, that’s on you, that’s not on me.
Graham: Well, it’s coming from you though.
Naomi: That’s coming from you. YOU feel. I’m just a girl from South London.
Graham: Maybe that’s it.
Naomi: All that know me, know I’m exactly the same.
That’s just it. It’s how you think (assume) I’m gonna be like.
Can’t judge a book by it’s cover, right.
Graham: When you meet men…
Naomi: Yes, I have this question all the time.
Graham: No, but are they INTIMIDATED by you or how does a man impress you?
Naomi: Listen, the ones that are intimidated by me I’m never gonna know. Let’s put it that way. If they’re intimidated, I’ll never know them and our paths will never cross.

Naomi Campbell dispels the stereotype that she is intimidating by pointing out that feelings of intimidation are the result of the other person being insecure. Holding negative expectations or bias for another person before meeting them is how feelings of intimidation are born. Graham Norton was incredibly rude and she handled his interrogation with grace and patience. Naomi has set a very high standard for Black women dealing with such obstacles and remains classy with healthy boundaries for those who intend to misunderstand her.
