Before arriving at Nemacolin Resort, I planned to teach art classes inside The Art Studio where regular classes are held. My classes never made it to the schedule, but I still offered guests at Waldon Pond something special!
When guests arrived to Waldon Pond, I had a few activities and snacks available for them. I drew a coloring page for little ones and developed a stencil project for older kids and adults. These were not structured classes, but guests could work on the projects alongside me inside my studio at Waldon Pond.
In my own art practice, I create templates or cut-out stencils so my illustrations are consistent. I have files and baggies full of them! The guests had a blast using my personal stencils or store bought stencils to create their own pictures on card stock paper.
