The dedication of Greenwood Rising museum honoring the historically Black Greenwood District in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the tragic May 31st, 1921 Tulsa race massacre, was completed in time for Memorial Day and the centennial anniversary of the tragedy thanks to the hard work of the Tulsa 1921 Race Massacre Centennial Commission. I went to the dedication ceremony honoring the descendants because I am one myself via my grandfather’s survival.
