Whatcha Say: Trinity Mitchell

We do not support people we know. We will support the A-list celebrities. But, when it’s that guy from our hometown, that lady from our hometown doing big things, we sit back and we compare our lives to theirs, and we hate. We don’t share, like, or comment for nothing in the world…until they blow up. And, I don’t like it, I don’t like it.

Can we normalize supporting people we know, can we and stop hating on them? You got the same 24hrs in a day they got. Why are you sittin’ up hatin’ on them, why are you sittin’ up comparing your life to theirs? Celebrate them!

And, for many of us (entrepreneurs), we’re always complaining about not having support, people not showing up, not trusting people to buy our products, and (people not supporting) all the things that we do as entrepreneurs. Yeah, you don’t support anybody either. How you gonna reap something you ain’t sowed? Why are you lookin’ for a harvest? You ain’t planted nothin’, Friend!

I just want us to normalize supporting people we know like we support Beyonce. She don’t know us, don’t even know we exist, but we be so elated to clap for them people. Nothing wrong with that, I’m a Beyonce fan, don’t get me wrong. But, I’m just saying, let’s put the same energy we do towards (celebrities), towards (supporting) people we actually know. ‘Cause there’s absolutely no way that you can lose, Friend, wanting someone else to win. You can’t lose. You cannot lose.
