Denton Black Film Festival
I went to the first day of the Denton Black Film Festival in Denton, TX on Wednesday and it was incredible. There was a lecture about historic Black films before the 1960s in the morning. A short documentary was shown where classic Black film actors and their families were interviewed. Later that evening, there was an exhibition opening for Dallas artist Vicki Meek’s digital art piece titled I could be angry all the time if I think too hard…Part 1. The title is self-explanatory and the haunting audio of her voice was the soul of this performative digital piece.
Have a Pleasant Day
